How It Is Made
From Solid Vinyl to Finished Lettering
Die-cut lettering is not printed with ink. Your artwork is cut directly from a ready-made solid-colour vinyl sheet before the excess material is removed and transfer tape is applied.

Artwork Preparation
Vector Artwork Produces the Best Cutting Result
Die-cut vinyl requires a clean cutting path. Vector artwork allows the cutting machine to follow the exact outline of each letter, number and shape.

Common Questions
Is this sticker printed?
No. This product is cut directly from ready-made
solid-colour vinyl. No ink printing is involved.
Will there be a rectangular background?
No. The unwanted vinyl is removed during production.
After installation, only the letters, numbers or
selected shapes remain.
What is the smallest lettering that can be cut?
Simple bold lettering should generally be at least
10 mm high.
Normal text is recommended at approximately
15 mm or larger, while script fonts,
connected lettering and detailed artwork should generally
be at least 20 mm high.
The thinnest lines should preferably be approximately
1.5–2 mm thick.
Final acceptance depends on the font, spacing, internal
details, vinyl colour and overall artwork complexity.
Lettering below 10 mm is subject to inspection and is
not guaranteed.
Why can some 10 mm letters be cut while others cannot?
Two letters with the same height can have very different
line thicknesses and details. A bold block font is generally
easier to cut and weed than a thin script or decorative font.
Small spaces inside letters such as A, B, e, a and R may
also become difficult to weed when the design is too small.
What happens if my artwork is too small or too detailed?
Our team may recommend increasing the lettering size,
using a thicker font, increasing the spacing, simplifying
small details or changing the design to a printed sticker.
This helps prevent the vinyl from tearing, lifting or becoming
damaged during cutting, weeding and installation.
What is the difference between Standard Cut and Fine Detail Cut?
Standard Cut is suitable for larger, simpler lettering.
Fine Detail Cut applies to smaller letters, thin lines,
script fonts or detailed designs requiring more manual work.
Fine Detail Cut does not guarantee that extremely small
artwork can be produced.
Why is there a minimum charge of 4 sq ft?
Every order requires artwork preparation, vinyl loading,
machine setup, cutting, weeding and transfer tape.
Orders below 4 sq ft therefore use the minimum charge.
Can I use more than one vinyl colour?
Yes. Each colour requires a separate vinyl layer,
cutting process and alignment. Multi-colour artwork
will be quoted after inspection.
What is reverse cut?
Reverse cut lettering is mirrored and installed from
inside a glass panel so it can be read correctly from outside.
Is installation included?
The displayed calculator price is for supply only.
Installation is excluded unless specifically included
in the quotation.
How long does production take?
Standard production normally takes approximately
2–3 working days after payment confirmation and
final artwork approval.
